CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO MY BOOKING?

Certainly, as long as you give us enough notice! Please read our rebooking/ cancellation policy for further details or contact us at bookings@historicaustralia.com.au.

WHERE'S MY GIFT CERTIFICATE?

You should have received instant confirmation of your gift voucher via email to send on to the recipient. If you haven’t received your gift certificate, please email us at bookings@historicaustralia.com.au. 

DO YOU HAVE DISABILITY ACCESS ON YOUR TOURS?

Please read the individual disability access information for each tour. Some tours are not suitable for guests who use mobility aids or cannot walk for extended periods of time.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE? CAN I WEAR A COSTUME?

Horror costumes/ makeup/ masks are not permitted to be worn. Historic Australia reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone wearing a horror costume that is deemed inappropriate or distasteful.

WHAT IS THE LEVEL OF FITNESS REQUIRED ON MY TOUR?

Majority of our tours only require a low – moderate fintess ability. Some may require you to traverse steep hills or some stairs, so please check the disability requirements for each tour to be sure!

CAN I BRING THE KIDS ON TOUR?

Absolutely! As long as they are over the age of 10 we welcome children on most tours.

Parents and guardians are advised that our tours feature strong content in the form of true historic crime stories and tales delivered in a dramatic style. The stories may include gruesome and macabre material including murders, crimes, violence, deaths, executions and suicide. The stories can be frightening, scary and distressing especially for young children.

All children under and including the age of 15 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.

Start locations information can be found on the individual tour pages, or within your confirmation and reminder emails. Please also refer to the map links as we have designed them to be as specific as possible!

WHAT IF I HAVE PROBLEMS DURING MY TOUR? WHO DO I SPEAK TO?

Please talk to your guide. They are well trained in running our tours in a safe and timely manner. If for any reason your are not satisfied with the outcome, pease email your feedback to bookings@historicaustralia.com.au

WHERE DO I ENTER MY PROMO CODE?

If it is a discount on the guest type (i.e. Adult, Concession, etc) please enter in the individual ticket field. This will be labelled:

“Do you have a promo or gift certificate code?”

If it is a discount on the whole booking, please enter in the Extra Information field, in the section labelled:

“Add promo or discount code”

I NEED TO CANCEL MY TOUR! HOW DO I DO THIS?

Please email the reason for cancellation and your booking number to bookings@historicaustralia.com.au.

DO YOU ACCEPT CONCESSION CARDS?

Yes we do!

Historic Australia accepts seniors, pensioners, DVA and university students. We also accept companion cards, who are welcome on tour free of charge when accompaning their charge.

Customers will be asked to produce concession cards at check-in. If you have a Companion Card, please contact our office in order to book.

AM I ALLOWED TO TAKE PHOTOS OR FILM ON TOUR?

You are allowed to photograph whilst on tour. We do ask that you refrain whilst the guide is speaking to avoid distraction.

Filming is strictly not permitted.

WHAT IS YOUR COVID VACCINATION AND MASK POLICY?
WILL BAD WEATHER AFFECT MY TOUR?

We believe the weather really adds to the atmosphere of a tour. If there is rain, please bring an umbrella and or raincoat, and enjoy the tour. Tours will only be cancelled if conditions become dangerous – we will notify you in these circumstances close to the tour time.

I'M LOST!! WHERE DO I PARK FOR MY TOUR?

Parking information can be found on the individual tour pages, or within your confirmation and reminder emails. Please also refer to the map links as we have designed them to be as specific as possible!

Please remember:

It is illegal to be in a cemetery between dusk and dawn each day, unless operating under a site licence like we do. While waiting for the tour to start, or if you arrive early, please DO NOT wait inside the cemetery, please wait outside the gates at the allocated meet location. The cemetery will also be locked up during the tours, therefore no parking is permitted inside the cemetery.

HOW DO I STAY UP TO DATE WITH CRIME TOURS AUSTRALIA AND YOUR OTHER EXPERIENCES?

DO YOU RUN PRIVATE OR CUSTOMER TOURS?

Yes! All of our public tours can be customised when turned into a private experience. Please email us on bookings@historicaustralia.com.au  with your preferred date, location and approximate numbers for more information.

Note: Groups must be a minimum size of 20. If your group is smaller, we will need a minimum financial commitment based on 20 attendees.

HOW BIG WILL THE TOUR GROUP BE?

Our tour groups have a minimum of 2. Each tour has their own maximum size as below:

Walking Tours – 30

Coach Tours – 52

ARE THERE TOILETS AVAILABLE ON MY TOUR?

Most of our sites have no toilet facilities available. Please check your tour FAQ for more information, located at the bottom of the tour page.

WHAT IF I AM RUNNING LATE OR MISS THE START OF THE TOUR?

Our tours start dead on time! If you are running late and miss the start of the tour, we will not be able to accommodate you.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING ON MY TOUR?
  • Clients must be wearing flat-soled enclosed shoes. Thongs, sandals and high heels will not be permitted on tour.
  • If there is rain, please bring an umbrella and or raincoat, and enjoy the tour.

Night Time Tours:

  • Each guest is required to bring their own torch. Torch apps on smart phones are suitable.
WHAT DO I NEED TO SHOW AT CHECK-IN?

Please have your confirmation email ready for our guides. This can be shown on your device.

I LOVED IT! HOW DO I PROVIDE FEEDBACK AFTER MY TOUR?

You will recive an email asking for feedback 24 hours after your tour. We welcome all comments, and appreciate you taking the time to respond.
