Accessibility – Tours

We want everyone to discover Australia’s criminal history! Crime Tours Australia is committed to making our tours as accessible as possible, but unfortunately some heritage sites pose significant safety hazards and access difficulties.

We have created this page to help you make a decision about which of our tours may be the most suitable.

– Many tours are wheelchair and mobility scooter accessible.

– Most tours are not suitable for customers who cannot move or walk long distances.

– Walking tours provide no seating, tours require the ability to stand or be stationary during each story

–  Coach Tours require the ability to move or walk approx 50 metres from the vehicle to hear stories.

–  If you are reliant on a walking aid – frame, stick, crutches – our tours may not be suitable.

–  Tours do not have on site access to toilet facilities. Please plan to use facilities prior to your arrival.

–  Due to health and safety, it is not possible for customers to leave the tour group once the tour has started.

Each walking tour consists of the group moving short distances (avg 150-200 metres) from one site to the next. At each site the guide will tell historic information and tales delivered through storytelling. Each story is approx. 10-15 minutes in duration.
