JACK SIM PRESENTS
CRIME TOUR – COACH
This is a TRUE CRIME story. A legendary murder on the Gold Coast…
Discover the facts behind the crimes of “Slim” Halliday of “Boy Swallows Universe” fame.
Australia’s greatest jail-breaker – who escaped notorious Boggo Road Jail twice – served life
for the 1952 murder of taxi-driver Athol McCowan. Halliday denied his involvement and
maintained he was innocent of the crime to his death. In this tour we visit four sites
associated with this fascinating case. Did detectives get the right man? Or was Halliday the
victim of corrupt police?
This 2.5hr guided coach tour is hosted by crime writer Jack Sim, based on the Murder
Trails Series book “Slim Halliday” The Taxi-Driver Killer written by veteran journalist and
author Ken Blanch.
